The missing master...

British and USA national track champs are currently running. This morning, waiting for the onslaught at work, I decided to have a quick browse through some of the women's results. And there she was: Janet Birkmyre, placing 4th in the 500m TT with 37.39. She also came second in the scratch race. That answers the question of why Janet will not be in Sydney in little over a week's time. That's pretty cool!

On the other side of the pond, another ex-masters (World Masters Champ) competitor, Liz Reap took out the 500m TT in 35.947 seconds at the USA track nationals. Liz, from memory (so I could be wrong), is late 30's and moved to elite racing last year, gaining a place on the USA talent squad. Liz writes about her transition from full-time employee and part-time masters racer to full time elite racing here.
